About OTUSYN
Secure. Modern. Managed.
A different kind of IT support
Most small businesses outgrow informal IT arrangements before they are ready to hire a full-time IT person. The person who "knows the most about computers" becomes the de facto IT department. Microsoft 365 settings accumulate without review. Devices are set up inconsistently. When something goes wrong, there is no clear route and no clear owner.
OTUSYN exists to fill that gap, providing the kind of structured, accountable IT support and consultancy that growing businesses need, without the overhead of an internal hire or the impersonal service of a large MSP.
How OTUSYN works
OTUSYN is a focused, specialist practice: one person, working directly with clients. There are no account managers passing work to junior technicians. When you engage OTUSYN, you work with the same person throughout, someone who knows your environment, understands your priorities and is accountable for the work.
That model has practical implications. Engagements are scoped honestly. Work that falls outside agreed support is identified and discussed, not quietly absorbed or ignored. Clients know what they are paying for and what they can expect.
OTUSYN serves small and growing businesses, schools and charities, primarily across Oxfordshire and the surrounding area. Most clients are between 10 and 100 users, rely on Microsoft 365 for day-to-day operations and need IT support that is reliable and clearly owned without being unnecessarily complex.
What OTUSYN does not do
Being clear about boundaries is part of how OTUSYN operates.
- OTUSYN does not promise unlimited support. Engagements have defined scope, and work outside scope is priced and agreed separately.
- OTUSYN does not use fear to sell security services. Good security practice starts with practical baseline improvements, not alarming language.
- OTUSYN does not take on more clients than can be served well. Growth is managed to preserve service quality.
Values
These are not aspirational; they describe how OTUSYN operates day to day.
- Trust — clients can rely on honest guidance, including when work is out of scope or needs different specialist input.
- Security — security considerations are woven into every engagement, not bolted on at the end.
- Simplicity — IT should become less complicated to manage over time, not more.
- Excellence — work is delivered properly or discussed openly when it cannot be.
- Innovation — modern tools are used when they improve outcomes, not just because they are new.
- Sustainability — environments and working relationships are built to remain useful over time.
Location
OTUSYN is based in Oxfordshire and works primarily with organisations across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Warwickshire and the surrounding area.
Remote support is available where the environment and work type allow.
